A Fond du Lac man was seriously injured in a rollover crash on a railroad overpass in Fond du Lac County. The crash happened Friday night on Highway 151 near Hickory Road. Witnesses say a vehicle struck a railway overpass and that there was one individual trapped inside of the vehicle. When rescue personnel arrived, the driver and lone occupant, Daniel T. Sell of Fond du Lac, had been able to remove himself from the vehicle after sustaining significant injuries. He was transported to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. Speed and reckless driving appear to be major contributing factors in the crash. There was no structural damage to the overpass. Citations or criminal charges are pending upon
the completion of the accident investigation.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
