Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged a shed in Fond du lac County. Early Saturday morning firefighters from Eldorado, Van Dyne, Lamartine and North Fond du Lac responded to the Debbie Scharfenberg residence on Townline Rd for a report of a pole shed that was on fire. The shed was used as a workshop and had some vehicles stored in it. There was minor damage reported which consisted mostly of smoke and water damage. The fire is not suspicious in nature and may have been caused by a wood burning stove that was being used to heat the structure.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
