Three candidates are running for two seats on the North Fond du lac Village board. Former village administrator Chuck Hornung, former trustee John Duffy and village trustee Ann Price are squaring off in Tuesday’s election. Price works as a certified public accountant. She was appointed to the board when Duffy stepped down a little more than a year ago to apply for the village administrator’s position. “I really like being a part of the board,” Price told WFDL news. “I do feel my expertise is invaluable. A lot of what the village board does is take take care of the budget and expenses and I feel that is sort of my expertise.” Hornung retired last year after serving ten years as village administrator. “I’d like to use this experience to help support the staff and to help make more decisions. We have a great staff,” Hornung said. “I’d also like to do everything I think the village can do to support the services that we’ve all grown to expect.” Duffy is a retired Fond du Lac firefighter and former village board trustee. “I like to be involved, helping make decisions, making our community stronger and better,” Duffy told WFDL news. I truly believe in open communication.”
