3-12-19 fdl county sheriff’s deputies respond to more than two dozen crashes on snow covered roads over the weekend

The Fond du lac County Sheriff’s Office responded to more than two dozen mostly minor traffic crashes on slippery, snow-covered roads over the weekend.  Sheriff’s captain Bill Tadych says freezing rain, coupled with heavy, set snow made for difficult driving conditions Saturday night and Sunday morning.  "We had a total of 27 motor vehicle related incidents.  The majority of those were run-offs,"  Tadych told WFDL news.

3-12-19 convicted fdl child sex offender released into community

The Fond du Lac Police Department has been notified that a convicted child sex offender is being released from prison and is moving back into the community. Police say Jeffrey Abitz will be living at 444 North Hickory Street in the city of  Fond du Lac.  Abitz served time for manufacture/delivery of heroin.
