3-8-19 suspect in closs abduction says he’ll plead guilty

A Minnesota television station is reporting that the Wisconsin man charged in the kidnapping of 13-year-old Jayme Closs says in a letter from jail that he plans to plead guilty.  KARE-TV reported Thursday that suspect Jake Patterson was replying to a letter from a station reporter. Three area  teachers have been named 2019 Herb Kohl Teacher Fellows.  Fond du Lac Evans Elementary School teacher, Jessica Longdin,  North Fond du Lac Horace Mann High School  teacher, Jenny Stahl and  Nici Colwin at Shepherd of  the Hills Catholic School in Eden are award recipients.  The teachers and several area students will be recognized at an awards banquet this month.

3-7-19 high speed chase

3-7-19 fdl street closure

The Fond du Lac Department of Public Works – Water Utility says a portion of West Division Street between Butler Street and Bell Street is closed.  The westbound lane on Division Street will remain closed until the end of the day Monday, March 11th. The closure is in place to allow the water utility to make emergency repairs to the water main and complete pavement restoration.
