4-2-19 spring election

todayApril 2, 2019

The Fond du Lac County Clerk is predicting an average voter turnout in Tuesday’s spring election with higher turnout in areas where there are referendums or contested races.  Freiberg says there are a handful of town and village races that are generating local interest including in the town of Calumet.    “The town chair and both supervisors chose not to run,”  Freiberg said.  She says there are two people running for town chair and those people are also running for supervisor. She says there is also a contested race for town clerk.   Freiberg says there are a couple of places where write-in candidates will be elected.  “Village of Campbellsport has that situation with village trustee.  Village of Mt. Calvary, their treasurer decided not to run, that is a write-in.”  There is also a write-in for town of Waupun clerk.
