Fond du Lac police are investigating a robbery at the Fond du Lac Avenue Subway restaurant. At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday police say the suspect entered the restaurant and demanded money. He displayed some type of object and received an undisclosed amount of cash from the cashier before fleeing the restaurant. The suspect was described as a male, approximately 5’10” to 6’0” tall and was last seen wearing gray or blue pants with a green jacket and an orange ski mask covering his face. The suspect may have fled in a light colored SUV type vehicle that was seen leaving the area. No one was injured in this incident. The incident remains under active investigation. A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
