4-3-19 voters approve fdl school referendum questions

Fond du lac School District residents have given the go ahead for for major building upgrades at all Fond du Lac public schools.  Voters have approved a $91.5 million referendum question to maintain and upgrade every school building in the  district and a second question to spend $7 million to make sure every school building in the district is air conditioned.  The first question passed with 6,694 yes votes to 4,234 no votes.  Voters approved the second question 6,411 yes votes to 4,449 no votes.  Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says the referendum  enhances the teaching and learning environment and maintains the buildings for decades to come.  “We’re overwhelmingly excited,”  Dr. Sebert told WFDL news.  “…just really grateful to the community for the incredible support.  I have to give a lot of thanks to our staff.  They really helped propel this.  Give a lot of credit to our families.  More than anything made a lot of good friendships and a lot of good connections.  We just can’t say thank you enough.”    Sebert says the next step is to prioritize the projects.
