A suspect in a high speed chase in Dodge County was found hiding in the cooler of a golf course clubhouse. Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says the 41 year old Watertown man was found sleeping in the cooler at the Windwood Country Club near Watertown. The man was a suspect in a police pursuit days earlier and fleeing his vehicle after it was found crashed at the end of a cul-de-sac just outside Watertown.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
