A Fond du Lac man charged in a drug-related shooting incident last fall that injured two people has been bound over for trial. Probable cause was found at a preliminary hearing for Delaney Watt on 17 counts including attempted first degree intentional homicide, recklessly endangering safety, reckless injury with use of a dangerous weapon and multiple drug charges. The shooting happened September 12 outside the Eldorado apartments on Forest Avenue. According to a criminal complaint the shooting injured a 17 year old Fond du Lac girl and left a 26 year old Fond du lac man paralyzed from his chest down.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
