Newly elected Fond du Lac school board members have been sworn into office. Incumbent board members, Peggy Breister and Mark Jurgella and newcomer Nick Tiefke were administered the oath of office during Monday evening’s organizational meeting. Linda Uselmann was re-elected board president and Susan Jones was elected board vice president. A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
