Fond du Lac police are investigating reports of shots being fired in two separate locations in the city of Fond du Lac Thursday night and early Friday morning. Shortly before 10:30pm Thursday police were called to a report of possible gun shots heard in the 100 block of East Second Street. While recanvassing the area Friday officers found a shell casing in the area of 159 East Second Street. Police also say someone fired shots early Friday morning at a home on Morris Street near Military Road. Police say no one was injured in either incident. It is unknown if a vehicle was involved in either incident or if they are related. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
