A Fond du Lac woman convicted of crashing into a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper’s squad and a tow truck in Kenosha County while driving drunk with three children in her vehicle has been placed on probation. Thirty one year old Yessica Trevino was placed on three years probation. An 18 month prison sentence and six months extended supervision was withheld and she was given credit for 145 days served in jail. Trevino pleaded guilty last month to owi causing injury and operating without a valid drivers license causing great bodily harm. She was also ordered to pay $49,000 in restitution and loses her driver’s license for 18 months. According to a criminal complaint Trevino rear ended a state patrol squad last Dec. 2 on I-94 near Bristol pushing the squad into a tow truck. Trevino’s two children, ages one and three were in the back seat of her car. An 11 year old passenger was ejected from the vehicle. Trevino admitted she had been drinking prior to the crash.
