todayApril 28, 2019

Warmer weather means more people are spending time cooking outdoors with gas and charcoal grills.  Following an Easter holiday fire that destroyed a gas grill, Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue is offering some simple tips to make sure you have a safe BBQ season.   Division chief of Fire Prevention, Troy Haase, says before starting your gas grill for the first time, make sure its clean.  With charcoal grills, Haase says its very important to remember not to discard the charcoal until its completely out.  Haase says the fire department recommends people have their grill at least ten feet away from their house or building, and never use a grill on a wood deck.
