4-30-19 swat team called to 6th street residence in fdl

Eight people, including a fugitive from Arizona,  were taken into custody Monday afternoon following  what was described as the execution of a high risk search warrant in Fond du Lac. Fond du Lac Police Chief Bill Lamb says the nature of the search was firearms related and to apprehend the fugitive.   Shortly before 2:30pm  Monday the  Fond du Lac Police and Sheriff’s SWAT team, Metropolitan Enforcement Group Drug Unit and other law enforcement officers responded to the Sixth Street residence…just  east of Marr Street.  Lamb says all of the individuals in the residence surrendered peacefully without incident.  During the operating police blocked off area streets and asked neighbors to shelter in place until the operation was completed.  Residents who live in the area say its unfortunately become an all to familiar scene.
