Evers noted what he said was the unrealistic nature of the promises made by the Taiwanese manufacturer to former Gov. Governor Tony Evers is bringing his Statewide Budget Listening Tour to Northeast Wisconsin.  Residents are invited to share their thoughts on Evers' proposed state budget in Oshkosh, on Tuesday, April 23.  The listening session will be held at the Oshkosh Senior Center from 5:30 p.m.to 7 p.m. with doors opening at 4:45 p.m.

4-18-19 dodge county craigslist scam

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of ski boats in what investigators say was a  Craigslist scam.  The Sheriff’s Office says its asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect associated with the theft of the Must-Skis ski boats.  The boats, valued at $95,000 were recovered April 10 in Machesney Park, Illinois, a couple days after the thefts were reported.  Sheriff Dale Schmidt says two individuals […]

Gov. Tony Evers announced Wednesday that he is seeking applicants for the Court of Appeals – District II. The appointment will fill a vacancy being created by Judge Brian Hagedorn’s election to the Wisconsin Supreme Court, effective August 1, 2019. 4-17-19 fdl county board approves redistricting resolution

The Fond du Lac County Board is weighing in on Wisconsin’s redistricting process. The board has approved a resolution requesting enactment of a nonpartisan process for preparing legislative and congressional redistricting plans.  County Board chairman Marty Farrell says the resolution affirms the right of  all Wisconsin citizens to fair and equal representation.  Wisconsin’s electoral maps are currently drawn by state lawmakers and is the subject of a federal lawsuit.  The […]

4-17-19 kolstad elected fdl council president

The Fond du Lac city council has a new president.  Brian Kolstad was elected council president at the council’s organizational meeting Tuesday evening.  Councilmember Kay Miller was elected council vice president.   Kolstad was re-elected to another term in the spring election and replaces Karen Merkel as council president.
