Authorities say a missing Dodge County military veteran has been found safe. According to a Green Alert from the state Department of Justice, 29-year-old Jordon J. 4-10-19 kayak rescue on lake winnebago

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office rescued a kayaker in distress on Lake Winnebago Tuesday afternoon.  Shortly before 3pm Tuesday the Sheriff’s Office received a call from a  citizen on Lakeshore Drive reporting a kayaker who  appeared to be in distress after overturning.  The kayaker was said  to be approximately one mile east of the shoreline and unable to return under his own power.  Deputies from the Fond du […]

The Waupun Fire Chief says its fortunate that nobody was hurt in a fire this week that significantly damaged the bottom unit of a duplex.  Firefighters were called to the scene on West Franklin Street Monday night.  Fire chief B.J. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Property taxes on the owner of a median-valued home are projected to increase under Gov. Tony Evers' budget proposal, but not as much as they would under current law.  The nonpartisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau released its estimate for property taxes Tuesday.  Under the Evers budget, property taxes are projected to go up 2 percent in 2019 and 1.6 percent in 2020.
