A Ripon man accused of sexually abusing children has been bound over for trial. Fifty seven year old Terry Lee Phelps waived his preliminary hearing Thursday on 43 counts including repeated sexual assault of a child, child enticement, and physical abuse of a child. He faces the possibility of spending the rest of his life in prison if he is convicted. Phelps is accused of sexually abusing and providing marijuana to children over the period of several years. Phelps was arrested in March at a residence in Ripon after he allegedly armed himself with a knife and then later surrendered. He is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on $500,000 cash bond.
