5-7-19 mayville man receives long prison sentence in child sex assault case

A long prison sentence has been handed down for a Mayville man convicted of child sex assault.  Dodge County Circuit  Judge Brian A. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin's tourism industry generated $21.6 billion last year.  That's according to a new report from the state Department of Tourism. The report says visitor spending rose nearly 5 percent in 2018 to $13.3 billion. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A new audit says tuition revenue at University of Wisconsin System schools grew $336.6 million over the last decade.  The report from the Legislative Audit Bureau found tuition revenue grew from $933.4 million in fiscal year 2008-09 to $1.3 billion in fiscal year 2017-18. 5-6-19 emergency plane landing in fdl county

Nobody was seriously  injured when a plane made an emergency landing In Fond du Lac County  Monday afternoon.  The Sheriff’s Office says it happened  near the area of Triangle Road and CTH M in the Township of Rosendale.   A witness said that the plane had crashed in farm field off Triangle Road.   The pilot was able to get out of airplane on his own with minor injuries.   There were no […]

5-6-19 thiesfeldt not swayed by public opinion polls on medicaid expansion

5-6-19 fatal oshkosh fire

OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — A 71-year-old man was found dead inside an Oshkosh home that caught fire.  Authorities responded to the blaze about 10 p.m. Saturday and found the man's body inside.  The cause of death wasn't immediately released, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.  No one else was hurt.
