East Cotton Street from North Park Avenue to McKinley Street

McKinley Street from Rose Avenue to Stow Street

Roosevelt Street from Rose Avenue to Arndt Street

Description: The project includes reconstruction of the sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, street, and lighting.
June 3 rd to June 7 th :The grading contractor will be excavating the roadway, removing sidewalk/drive approaches and placing gravel base beginning mid week.
Traffic Impacts: Roosevelt Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
Marquette Street from Arndt Street to McWilliams Street

Description: The project includes reconstruction of the sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, street, and lighting.
June 3 rd to June 7 th : No work at this time.
Traffic Impacts: Marquette Street remains open to traffic.
Grove Street from Superior Street to South Military Road
Schedule: April 2019 to June 2019
Description: The project includes reconstruction of the sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, street, and lighting.
June 3 rd to June 7 th : The contractor will be grading, forming and placing concrete sidewalk and drive approaches.

Intersection of Trowbridge Drive and Willow Lawn Road
Schedule: April 2019 to June 2019
Description: The project includes reconstruction of the sanitary, water extension, storm sewer, street, and lighting.
June 3 rd to June 7 th : The paving contractor will be placing gravel shoulders, topsoil for restoration and outside lane line pavement marking.
Traffic Impacts: Intersection of Trowbridge Drive and Willow Lawn Road is closed to through traffic. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
Tompkins Street from Superior Street to Termini
Schedule: April 2019 to June 2019
Description: The project includes reconstruction of the sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, street, and lighting.
June 3 rd to June 7 th : The fine grading and asphalt pavement is completed and restoration work should be completed by the end of the week along with final cleanup and the removal of traffic control.
Traffic Impacts: Tompkins Street from the railroad tracks to Superior Street is closed to through traffic. Residents may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
Hickory Street Bridge over West Branch of Fond du Lac River
Schedule: May 2019 through June 2019
Description: The bridge deck will be milled and a new overlay installed which requires the closure of the bridge to vehicle and pedestrian travel.
June 3 rd to June 7 th : The curing of the bridge deck overlay is completed and approach work is scheduled to be paved by weeks end. In addition, a few sidewalk panels and drive apron will be poured as well. Weather permitting the bridge could be opening by the weekend.
Traffic Impacts: Hickory Street Bridge will be closed to traffic and pedestrian access. Follow the signed detour which is South Bound (SB) – Western Ave. to N. Brook Street to S. Military and North Bound (NB) is the reverse order of SB.
East Second Street Bridge over DeNeveu Creek
Schedule: May 2019 through June 2019
Description: The contractor completed the surface repairs on the bridge deck and sidewalk. An epoxy overlay will be placed which is scheduled to begin mid-June. When the epoxy overlay starts the bridge will be closed for a few weeks. This will restrict vehicle and pedestrian access across the bridge.
June 3 rd to June 7 th : No work is anticipated until the epoxy overlay begins in mid-June.
Traffic Impacts: E. Second Street Bridge is currently open to traffic and will remain open until the epoxy overlay work begins mid-June then it will be closed to both vehicle and pedestrian access for several weeks.
Arndt Street Bridge Replacement, Arndt Street between Satterlee Street and Lincoln Avenue
Schedule: June 2019 through September 2019
Description: The project includes the replacement of the Arndt Street Bridge over the West Branch of the Fond Du Lac River. This project is a partnership between the City of Fond du Lac and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT).
June 3 rd to June 7 th : The contractor will begin removal of the old structure on Monday, June 3 rd and continue this work for several weeks.
Traffic Impacts: Arndt Street between Lincoln Ave. and Satterlee Street is “Closed” to traffic as of Friday, May 31 st for the duration of the project, which is expected to last until Mid-October. There will not be a signed detour but the use of N. Hickory Street to Scott Street to N. Brook Street or the Johnson Street Bridge is recommended.
County Road V from Pioneer Road to Fond du Lac Avenue
Pioneer Road from Sherwood Boulevard to Wedgewood Road
Schedule: April 2019 through October 2019
Description of work: The project includes reconstruction of the water main and services and partnership with Fond du Lac County for new storm sewer, street, pedestrian trail, and lighting.
June 3 rd to June 7 th : The contractor has completed water main on Pioneer Road west and east of County Road V.
Traffic impacts: County Road V from Fond du Lac Avenue and Pioneer Road is closed to through traffic. Additionally, Pioneer Road from Sherwood Blvd to Wedgewood Lane is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs.
Project Detour: North on Fond du Lac Avenue to South on Martin Avenue to west on Pioneer Road.
