todayJune 2, 2019

An Eldorado teen has been crowned the Fond du Lac County Fairest of the Fair.  Nineteen year old  Cayley Vande Berg  was selected during judging Saturday night at the Radisson Hotel in Fond du Lac.  She is the daughter of Chad and Tammy Vande Berg.    Vande Berg is majoring in dairy science at UW-River Falls,  and is currently employed at Rosendale Dairy, Wisconsin’s largest dairy farm.  “I am currently employed with Milk Source LLC at Rosendale Dairy.  It is my goal to become fluent in Spanish.  I want to become billingual because many Hispanics are employed in the dairy industry, so being able to communicate with them, will be critical to my success,”  Vande Berg wrote in her  application.   “ I also plan to utilize my degree to help educate the public about agriculture, advocate for the dairy industry, and assist dairy farmers with their needs,”   Vande Berg wrote.  First runner-up is Kalista Hodorff of Eden, the daughter of Corey and Tammy Hodorff.  Second runner-up is Jennifer Pflum of Rosendale, the daughter of Tammy and Troy Pflum.  The Fond du Lac County Fair runs July 17-21.  Vande Berg will compete at the state Fairest of the Fair Competition in January.
