A Beaver Dam man involved in a fatal crash while driving the wrong way on Highway 151 in Dodge County over The Memorial Day Holiday weekend has died. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says 39 year old Eric Hagenbart died over the weekend at the hospital from injuries he received in the May 26th crash. The crash happened on US 151 between Beaver Dam and Waupun. The Sheriff’s Office says Hagenbart, was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of 151 when he collided head on with a car driven by 24 year old Ryan Schultz, from Sun Prairie. Schultz was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff’s Office says alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
