A Baraboo woman has died in a head on crash in Dodge County. The crash happened shortly before 8:30pm Wednesday on State Highway 60 west of County Highway P in the Town of Rubicon. The initial investigation shows an SUV was traveling eastbound on 60, crossed the center line and struck an SUV head on. The driver of the vehicle that crossed the center line, a 65 year old Baraboo woman, was transported to Aurora Hospital in Hartford and was later pronounced dead. The driver of the second vehicle, a 63 year old female from Hustisford, was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
