A Milwaukee man has been convicted of severely beating and robbing a man at a Dodge County wayside. A Dodge County jury found 24 year old Keenan Brown guilty of robbery and substantial battery. According to a criminal complaint Brown and an accomplice attacked a man and stole his wallet. The victim was beaten unconscious, suffering lacerations, fractures to his face and bleeding on his brain. Through the DNA evidence, law Enforcement was able to identify Brown as the assailant. Brown is currently in prison for a 2016 robbery and will not be released until 2021. The convictions in Dodge County could potentially lengthen his sentence by more than 20 years.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
