A former Mayville police officer charged with child enticement has made his initial court appearance.  Mark Forster is free on a $5000 signature bond after appearing in Dodge County Circuit Court.  He also faces charges of misconduct in office and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.  According to a criminal complaint Forster had a relationship with a 17 year old girl, including sexual contact with the girl when he was on duty.  The charges […]

6-20-19 fdl man injured in car vs. bicycle crash

A car versus bicycle crash sent a Fond du Lac man to the hospital.  The crash happened shortly before 6:30am Thursday  on Hwy WH and Peebles Lane.   The Sheriff’s Office says a  38-year-old man was struck by a car while riding his bicycle and was  transported to St. Agnes Hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries.   The driver of the car, a 30-year-old Fond du Lac man, was not injured.  The Sheriff’s Office says […]

6-20-19 man electrocuted while trimming tree near power lines

The Fond du Lac Fire chief says a man is lucky to be alive after he was electrocuted while trimming a tree near high voltage power lines. Fire chief Pete O’Leary says rescue personnel were called to the scene in the 300 block of Roosevelt Street  Wednesday evening.  The man was transported to the hospital for treatment. The well-being of children in Wisconsin has gotten worse since 2010, according to the new 2019 Kids Count Data Book by the Annie E. 6-20-19 construction on schedule for new fdl county highway garage
