7-25-19 fdl city council votes to change trick or treating day

After more than 30 years of trick or treating on the Sunday afternoon before Halloween  kids in Fond du Lac will be trick or treating on Saturday afternoons starting  this year.   The Fond du Lac city council voted to make the change at their  meeting  Wednesday night.  Council president Brian Kolstad and councilmembers Kay Miller and Donna Richards were in opposition.  Miller suggested moving the date back to Halloween.  City manager Joe Moore says he didn’t have strong feelings about the proposed change one way or another.  Moore says if it doesn’t work out the city can always go back to Sunday.
