A retired Ripon College political science professor says there were no blockbluster revelations during this week’s testimony by former special counsel Robert Mueller. Mueller testified this week before the House Judiciary and Intelligience committees on his two year probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election. Retired Ripon College political science professor Marty Farrell says he doesn’t know if this is the end of the chapter as Republicans want, but also doesn’t believe there is enough to launch impeachment proceedings against president Donald Trump. “I think the impeachment is unlikely, and removal (from office) would be almost impossible unless there’s some new revelation, ” Farrell told AM 1170s Between the Lines program. “It think it basically will be decided at the ballot box in 2020.” Farrell says its sure to be a major issue in the presidential campaign.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
