A construction truck stolen in Ripon has been recovered. Ripon police captain Troy Damsteegt tells WFDL news the truck was found abandoned in Waupaca County. Damsteegt says the InterCon truck with a custom utility box was stolen early Monday morning in Ripon. Numerous pieces of construction equipment valued at thousands of dollars were inside the utility box including generators, and a gas detector. Damsteegt says anyone with information is asked to call Ripon police at 920 748-2888.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
