7-17-19 man who kidnapped jayme closs moved out of wisconsin

BARRON, Wis. (AP) — A man who admitted to kidnapping Jayme Closs and killing her parents has been moved to a facility outside Wisconsin.  Twenty-two-year-old Jake Patterson is serving life without parole for the October deaths of James and Denise Closs.   State records say he was moved Monday, but do not say where or why he was transferred. 7-16-19 high speed chase ends near beaver dam

A Marshall man is in custody following a high speed chase that ended in Dodge County.   Shortly before 10:30pm Friday police attempted to stop a speeding vehicle on Highway 151 at Highway 49 in Waupun.  The driver initially pulled over, but then took off and lead police on a pursuit.  The vehicle was stopped after driving over spike strips near Beaver Dam and the driver, a 31 year old Marshall man,  was taken […]

7-16-19 waupun man seriously injured in motorcycle vs. car crash

A Waupun man was seriously injured in a motorcycle versus car crash in the city of Waupun. The crash happened shortly before 5pm Friday  at North Watertown and East Franklin Streets.   A 20 year old Waupun man was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The crash remains under investigation.

7-16-19 fdl woman sentenced to jail for stealing from elderly woman

A Fond du Lac woman will spend time behind bars for stealing more than $300,000 from an elderly  woman in her care.  Fond du Lac judge Gary Sharpe  sentenced  54 year old Margaret Meyers to eight months in Jail with Huber privileges and ordered her  to pay $27,000  toward  restitution with an additional $1,000 a month.  Meyers earlier pleaded no contest to theft.   According to a criminal complaint a credit union noticed “red […]

A motorcycle crash in Marquette County has claimed the life of a Fond du Lac man.  The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office says 59 year old Robin Schwartz of  Fond du Lac  was killed Sunday afternoon in the crash in the town of  Montello.   The Marquette County Sheriff says a northbound vehicle on Highway 22 had slowed for a vehicle turning onto highway XX amd  was struck from behind by a motorcycle.  The motorcycle operator was not […]
