8-6-19 Car Crashes Into Columbus Home

Alcohol and speed appear to be factors into a car crashing into a home in Columbus over the weekend.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office says a vehicle was traveling north on Highway 89 and failed to navigate a turn in the road, sending the vehicle crashing into the victim’s home.
A woman was home at the time and was trapped by the car.
Her injuries are unknown at this time.
A man was also home at the time but was not injured.
A male driver of the vehicle was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
