todayAugust 6, 2019

A former Mayville Police Officer accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with an underage girl while on the clock as an officer is set to appear back in Dodge County Court this week. 30-year-old Mark Forster is facing six charges, including Child Enticement and Misconduct in Office. Forster resigned after an investigation was launched into his actions. He signed a non-disclosure agreement and left, but later sued the city over a memo written by former Chief of Police Ryan Vossekuil detailing an alleged conflict of interest with Forster’s wife, Rachel, still voting on Mayville Police Department matters in her role as an Alderwoman for the City of Mayville. If convicted on all counts, Forster is facing up to 49 years in prison and $150,000 in fines. He’s due back for a preliminary hearing on Thursday, August 8, 2019.
