Waupun police assisted Menomonee Falls Police and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in apprehending two bank robbery suspects. On Friday, Waupun police assisted in the arrest of a 35 year old Waupun man and a 36 year old Waupun man who were bank robbery suspects in Menomonee Falls and Washington County. The men were taken into custody in Washington County. Waupun Police assisted both agencies with a search warrant of a residence in the first block of South Mill Street.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
