8-16-19 doctors suspect vaping behind dozens of lung illnesses in u.s.

NEW YORK (AP) — As many as 50 people in at least six states have come down with breathing illnesses that may be linked to e-cigarettes or other vaping products.  No deaths have been reported, but at least a few have come close.  Some patients have likened onset of the illness to a heart attack, and others to the flu. 8-16-19 wi unemployment rate up

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin's unemployment rate is up for the second month in a row.   The state Department of Workforce Development reported Thursday that Wisconsin's unemployment rate for July was 3%. A Fond du lac man who was the subject of a manhunt Thursday is in custody.   The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says shortly before 9pm  Thursday information was received and 35 year old Richard Erdman was arrested.  Erdman was wanted on several outstanding warrants.   Shortly before 8:30am Thursday the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office  attempted  to make contact with  Erdman  at Royal Oaks Motel on  State Highway 33 to take him […]

8-16-19 beaver dam woman convicted in heroin overdose death

A Beaver Dam woman has been convicted in a drug overdose death.  Forty year old Jackie Meyer pled guilty to First Degree Reckless Homicide for supplying the drugs that caused the overdose of Karen Sadowski. Meyer also pled guilty to Operating While Impaired with a Minor Child in the Vehicle. A sentencing hearing has been set for November 1, 2019.
