8-16-19 woman convicted in drug overdose death of fdl man

One of three individuals arrested in the heroin overdose death of a Fond du Lac man last summer has been convicted.   At a hearing this week Julie Harr pleaded guilty to charges of reckless homicide and  manufacture/delivery of cocaine.   Several other counts were dismissed and read into the record.   Judge Gary Sharpe ordered  a pre-sentence investigation and a sentencing hearing will be scheduled.   Harr was one of three people charged  in the overdose […]

MADISON, Wis. 8-15-19 car fire-fdl county

There were no injuries reported in a fire that destroyed a car in Fond du Lac County.  About 10pm Wednesday Oakfield volunteer firefighters and the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office were called to a report of a car on fire in the middle of Lost Arrow Road at Highway 175.

8-15-19 fdl street closure

A heads up for Fond du Lac motorists… the East Scott Street Bridge over Deneveu Creek will be closed Thursday.   The bridge will be closed to allow a contractor to epoxy the bridge surface.  The signed detour will be Winnebago  Drive and Luco Road.

8-15-19 convicted fdl child sex offender being released from prison thursday

A Fond du Lac sex offender is being released back into the community.   Fond du Lac police say Christopher A. Marsh is getting out of prison August 15 after serving additional prison time after his parole was revoked in October of 2015.  Marsh had previously been released in July of 2014 after serving seven years in prison for sexually assaulting two teenage girls.  He will be living at 457 Thomas Street.   Special conditions of […]

8-15-19 fdl police continue to investigate shooting incident

Fond du Lac police say a preliminary investigation indicates that gunshots fired in a near downtown neighborhood were fired into the air and not targeted at anyone.    Early Sunday morning police responded to the area of Brooke Street and Forest Avenue for a report of shots fired.  Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein says nobody was injured.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Alert number at 322-3740.  You […]

8-15-19 fdl police department receives grant

The Fond du Lac Police Department has received a grant to purchase equipment.  The $11,000 grant will be used to purchase ballistic shields, plasma rope, ambidextrous charging handles for firearms and a safe to store controlled substances.
