MANAWA, Wis. (AP) — Authorities in Wisconsin say a man was killed when his home exploded.  Waupaca County Sheriff Tim Wilz says the man killed in the Sunday morning explosion was likely asleep. He had not yet been identified.  Wilz says the home was "totally obliterated." Manawa Rural Fire Chief Rob Rosenau says debris was "scattered all over the place." 8-12-19 dodge county sheriff’s office investigating threats complaint

A juvenile has been arrested for making threats targeting the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Beaver Dam.  Dodge County  Sheriff Dale Schmidt says a juvenile suspect has confessed to sending the threats and will be referred to juvenile authorities.   Schmidt says on Sunday morning  two separate elders of the Kingdom Hall received text message threats while at their homes. (AP) — A judge has rejected a man's bid for a new trial in a Wisconsin killing featured in the Netflix series "Making a Murderer."  Judge Angela Sutkiewicz on Thursday denied Steven Avery's request in the 2005 killing of photographer Teresa Halbach.  Halbach's remains were found in the Avery family's salvage yard. 8-12-19 mowing accident

HINGHAM, Wis. (AP) — Authorities in eastern Wisconsin say a 2-year-old was severely injured in a lawn mower accident.  Sheboygan County dispatchers received a 911 call about the accident Friday afternoon from the Village of Hingham. According to the sheriff's office, the child suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a hospital.  Authorities say the incident does not appear to be criminal, but no other details were released.

RACINE, Wis. (AP) — Authorities in southeastern Wisconsin say 10 people were hurt in a chain-reaction crash involving six passenger cars and a loaded dump truck.  Racine County sheriff's deputies responded to the crash on southbound Interstate 94 just before 11 a.m. Saturday.  Investigators say traffic was slowed for a construction vehicle exiting the construction area.
