8-28-19 victim identified in fatal dodge county crash

Governor Tony Evers has announced he is directing the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to take additional efforts to address polyfluoroalkyl pollution in drinking water and groundwater.  In announcing the order Tuesday the governor said he is  "committed to protecting the state’s natural resources and ensuring every Wisconsinite has access to clean drinking water."     PFAS are man-made chemicals used for decades in numerous products including non-stick cookware, fast food wrappers, and firefighting foam.  […]

A  Dodge County Jail inmate faces additional time behind bars after being convicted of  severely beating another inmate.   A Dodge County jury found 28  year old Sir Jordan Cosby  guilty of Battery by Prisoners and Substantial Battery.  Cosby faces up to an additional 17.5 years behind bars.  According to a criminal complaint on June 7, 2017, Cosby  repeatedly punched the victim, who appeared to be unconscious laying on the floor.  Correctional Officers intervened and […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Tony Evers says Wisconsin has received a federal disaster declaration for 17 counties and two tribes that sustained damage during severe storms in July.  Evers made the request to President Donald Trump's administration last week. (AP) — Republicans who control the Legislature's finance committee are refusing to allow Democratic Attorney General Josh Kaul to settle an unknown lawsuit.  The GOP passed laws during a December lame-duck session that require Kaul to get the finance committee's approval to settle lawsuits. 8-28-19 public information meeting on highway 23 project in fdl county

A public information meeting is being held Wednesday evening  on a Highway 23 resurfacing project  west  of  Fond du Lac.  The project will involving resurfacing Highway 23 from Townline Road to Rolling Meadows Drive,  and adding turn lanes at  Esterbrook Road and Rolling Meadows Drive.  The meeting, hosted by the state DOT,  is being held from 5pm to 7pm Wednesday August  28 at the Fond du lac County Airport.
