The Fond du Lac Police Department has released the name of the Fond du Lac man who was killed in a motorcycle crash in the city of Fond du Lac over the weekend. The police department says the victim has been identified as 22 year old Joseph Borst of Fond du Lac. Police say a preliminary investigation indicates that Borst was traveling north bound on Wisconsin American Drive at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his motorcycle in a curve and left the opposite side of the roadway striking a curb. Borst was ejected from the motor cycle and the motor cycle came to rest in the parking lot of Aurora Clinic. Borst was pronounced dead at the scene by the Fond du Lac County medical Examiner’s Office. Preliminary investigation indicates that speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash which remains under active investigation.
