
Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a storage shed and it’s contents in Fond du Lac County. Shortly before 9:30pm Sunday the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a call of a shed fire located at W2097 CTH HHH in the town of Calumet. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies were first on the scene and found a 10’x 14’ cinder block constructed shed was fully engulfed in flames. Fire departments responding to the scene included the Town of Calumet Fire and First Responders, St. Cloud Fire, Mt. Calvary Fire and Ambulance, Stockbridge Fire, St. Anna Fire, New Holstein Fire, City of Fond du Lac Fire, Kiel Fire, and the Chilton Fire Departments. County Highway HHH was closed for three hours while firefighters battled the blaze. The property owner , Virginia Schussman, reported that the shed and contents were a total loss, including a four-wheeler and camper which was parked next to the structure. The cause of the fire remains under investigation but does not appear to be suspicious.
