Fond du Lac police continue to ask for the public’s help following a hit and run incident that injured a Fond du lac woman. Police say the 27 year old woman was struck by a vehicle while running south on Linden Street at West Ninth Street. The incident happened about 10:30pm Sunday. The vehicle drove off. The woman was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The vehicle is described as a silver colored Chevy Trailblazer type vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call the police Crime Alert number at 322-3740.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
