9-6-19 ixonia woman accused of helping convicted killer makes initial court appearance

A 21-year-old Ixonia woman accused of  helping a convicted killer  hide a Beaver Dam man’s body at the Dodge County property where she lived has made her initial court appearance.   Dakota Schlesner is charged with party to a crime of hiding a corpse.   She is free on a five thousand dollar signature bond.  The charge carries a maximum penalty of more than 12 years in prison and a $25,000 fine if convicted.    Twenty one year old Nigel Schultz of  Fond du Lac was convicted last month of  first-degree homicide  in Bradlee Gerke’s death and faces a mandatory life sentence.
