A Waupun attorney has announced she is running for Dodge County Circuit Court judge. Kristine Snow says she is a candidate for the seat being vacated by the retiring circuit judge Steven Bauer. Snow says she brings 27 years of diverse legal experience to the race, appearing before judges in both state and federal court. Snow specializes in family law, bankruptcy, real estate, probate and other general legal matters. She says she has extensive experience as a civil trial lawyer, representing clients on appeal before both the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and Wisconsin Supreme Court. She is a native of Columbus and earned her law degree at UW-Madison.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
