A North Fond du Lac man has been convicted in a fatal traffic crash that claimed the life of a father and son. A Fond du Lac jury has found Travis Wollersheim guilty of two counts of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle. Authorities say Wollersheim rear-ended a car that had lowed on Interstate 41 in a construction zone in Fond du lac in June 2016, killing 26 year old David Button and his eight year old son Joseph Button of Neenah.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
