A Fond du Lac home has been declared unfit for human habitation. Fond du Lac police and fire and rescue were called to a residence on South Hickory Street Wednesday for a strong smell of ammonia. The caller thought it may be a meth lab. Police found cat urine in the home. The home has been declared unfit for human habitation until it is cleared by the city building inspector.

During the month of September, the Health Department is offering bacteria and nitrate testing for $25.
