OOSTBURG, Wis. 9-4-19 fdl county dairy extension agent says local dairy industry remains strong

The Fond du Lac County Dairy and Livestock extension agent says the latest bankruptcy statistics show how Wisconsin dairy farmers continue to struggle with depressed milk prices.  The American Farm Bureau Federation says Wisconsin farmers filed 45 Chapter 12 bankruptcies between July 2018 and this June, down five from the previous five month period.  But Wisconsin continues to top the nation in family farm bankruptcies.  Wisconsin also has a lot of farms- the 11th highest […]

9-4-19 missing python at fdl high school

Fond du Lac High School officials are looking for python snake that escaped from its  cage over the weekend.  School officials notified parents of the incident as students headed back to school this week.  Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue helped in the search Tuesday but was unable to find the three foot long snake.

A man and woman from Georgia have been arrested after tossing two puppies into a Fond du Lac retention pond.    Sunday evening Fond du Lac police were called to the retention pond  on W.
