9-26-19 local unemployment rate

There is not much change in the area unemployment rate. The August unemployment rate in the city of Fond du Lac is up a tenth of a percent to 3.8 percent.  The rate is unchanged at 3.2 percent in Fond du Lac County and down a tenth of a percent in Dodge County to 2.9 percent.

9-26-19 wi lieutenant governor makes stop at fdl county windfarm

Wisconsin’s Lieutenant Governor is celebrating National Clean Energy Week with a stop at a  Fond du Lac County wind farm.  Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes toured Alliant Energy’s Cedar Ridge Wind Farm in Eden Tuesday.  The farm includes 41 wind turbines producing 68 megawatts of power.   Barnes says its important to increase Wisconsin’s wind energy portfolio.  Last month governor Evers announced the creation of the Office of Sustainability and Clean Energy to help implement his […]

9-25-19 fdl man seriously injured in motorcycle crash in eagle river

9-25-19 convicted child sex offenders being released

Two convicted child sex offenders are being released from prison and are moving back into the Fond du Lac community. The Fond du Lac Police Department says Robert W Krenn, has been released from prison after serving 23-years for repeatedly sexually assaulting children.  He is temporarily living at 131 East Second Street for a couple of weeks before moving to a residence at 231 West Follett Street.  Krenn must follow several conditions and has […]

9-25-19 suicide prevention task force recommendations

MADISON, Wis.
