MENASHA, Wis. (AP) — The Winnebago County District Attorney's office says an officer's use of deadly force in Menasha was justified.   Police fatally shot 43-year-old Shawn Blowers outside his apartment on June 25. MILWAUKEE (AP) — Prosecutors say a Wisconsin man suspected of manufacturing vaping cartridges with THC oil flew to California last month to get the substance in bulk and fill thousands of cartridges daily for sale.  The information is in the criminal complaint filed Monday. 9-17-19 fdl man accidentally shoots himself in the hand

A Fond du Lac man was treated at the hospital emergency room Sunday afternoon after accidentally shooting himself in the hand.  The man said he was cleaning his 9mm gun in his apartment at the Countryside Village apartments on Security Drive, when the gun accidentally discharged and  a bullet  struck him in the pinkie finger.   Police say the bullet did not go through the wall.

9-17-19 small fire quickly extinguished at fdl business

A small fire on the roof of a building across the street from the South Main Street fire station was quickly extinguished.  Friday night the  Fond du Lac Fire Department was called for a report of a fire on the roof of the Cobblestone Square building, across the street from the fire station.  Chief Pete O’Leary says the fire was out by the time a fire crew arrived and there was minimal damage.
