9-16-19 fdl division street closure

The Fond du Lac Department of Public Works  says a portion of Division Street will be closed this week.   Division Street between Algoma Street and Park Avenue will be closed beginning Wednesday, September 18 th and remain closed through the end of the day Thursday, September 19.  The closure is in place to allow city crews to make utility repairs and restoration.

9-16-19 dnr looks to expand manure restrictions

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. 9-16-19 fdl lawmaker introduces cursive writing bill

A Fond du Lac lawmaker is circulating a bill that would mandate public schools to include  cursive writing into their curriculum.  Republican state representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt  says the bill has received great bipartisan support.  Thiesfeldt says cursive writing has several benefits, including the ability to retain and remember information better when it is written down compared to typing on a computer or writing in print.   Thiesfeldt chairs the assembly education committee.

9-14-19 waupun men indicted for bank robberies

Two Waupun men have been indicted in federal court for their alleged role in three armed bank robberies in Wisconsin.  The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Milwaukee says 36 year old Justin S. Smith,  and 35 year old William D.
