The Fond du Lac County Emergency Management director is advising no travel with heavy rains causing flooding problems throughout Fond du Lac County. Emergency Management director Bobbie Hicken tells WFDL news several roads in Fond du lac County and streets in the city of Fond du Lac are at least partially flooded. Hicken says is not knowing how deep the water is. Flood warnings were issued for several counties in southern Wisconsin including northwest Dodge County and southern Fond du lac County. Repeated heavy rain was expected overnight. The National Weather Service had issued Flash Flood Warnings for Dodge County and southern Fond du Lac County Tuesday night.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
