10-3-19 waupun flooding

Heavy rains flooded several Waupun streets Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.  Waupun Emergency Management director B.J. DeMaa says the Rock River overflowed its banks.  “The Rock River in the East Spring Street, Fond du Lac Street, Gateway Drive area is currently closed,”  DeMaa told WFDL news.  DeMaa says the Rock River is expected to crest in the next 24 hours.  DeMaa says the Harris Street area was also hard hit. DeMaa says there have also been scattered reports of basement back-ups.
