10-31-19 funding for fdl county sheriff’s drone included in budget

10-30-19 fdl public works director says lakeside park pavilion plan still in city budget

The Fond du Lac School Board has approved a  2020 school district budget.  Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says the district is benefiting from the state budget with low revenue relief and  additional state aid.   Sebert says the budget includes borrowing for the school building referendum debt and a 2.44 percent salary increase for staff.   He says the  budget does not include a significant increase in the mill rate.  "The referendum questions […]

10-30-19 bomb threat-walmart

Fond du Lac police are investigating a bomb threat hoax phoned in to the Fond du Lac Walmart store.   According to the police log about 10pm Monday  person called the store Deli department and said there was a “code blue” in aisle A25.  Code Blue is Walmart’s code for a bomb.    The store was evacuated.  The store was searched and found nothing suspicious.

AURORA, Ill. (AP) — A county health department in Illinois says a Michigan company voluntarily is recalling nearly 2,300 cases of apples due to potential listeria contamination.  Kane County health officials say Tuesday that North Bay Produce of Traverse City also is recalling two bulk bins of apples.  Recalled varieties include McIntosh, Honeycrisp, Jonathan, Fuji, Jonamac and Red Delicious.
